This interactive 3-hour simulation places healthcare professionals in a regional diplomatic exercise inspired by the health challenges faced across the Americas and the work of the Pan American Health Organization. Participants represent assigned countries from North America, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean and respond to a regional healthcare crisis requiring cross-border coordination. Scenarios may involve infectious disease outbreaks, shortages of medicines or vaccines, migration-related healthcare pressures, natural disasters, health-system capacity limitations, tropical diseases, or humanitarian emergencies. Participants must understand the healthcare system, available resources, epidemiological context, and strategic priorities of their assigned country before negotiating with other delegations. The exercise requires participants to balance national responsibilities with the need for effective regional cooperation. The simulation is designed for healthcare professionals and emphasizes decisions grounded in medical, public health, humanitarian, logistical, and health-system expertise. Participants develop practical skills in negotiation, coalition building, crisis communication, resource allocation, and regional health diplomacy.
