Description
This interactive 3-hour simulation focuses on health emergencies affecting countries across the Eastern Mediterranean region. Participants represent assigned countries and negotiate responses to scenarios involving humanitarian emergencies, armed conflict, displaced populations, infectious diseases, disrupted pharmaceutical supply chains, damaged healthcare infrastructure, or shortages of healthcare professionals and essential medical resources. Participants are expected to understand the healthcare capacity and constraints of their assigned country and use clinical, public health, humanitarian, and health-system evidence when negotiating solutions. The simulation develops crisis diplomacy, negotiation, humanitarian health planning, resource prioritization, communication, and regional coordination skills.
